Located in a central location to explore the Ratnagiri district Navlai Paryatak nivas is the best place to stay to explore this part of Konkan. Velneshwar one of the most beautiful beaches in the Konkan stretch is less than 5 mins drive from the hotel. The lesser known Hedvi beach is also located at a similar distance from the hotel. Navlai Paryatak nivas is flanked by Ganpatipule and Guhagar on its either sides. If you are on a longer holiday you may also visit Ratnagiri and Dapoli which also lies along the coastal highway.
Brahmanghal is a rare natural phenomenon where continous gradation of the rocks by the sea has created a gorge in the black rock patch about 20 feet deep and 1-2 feet wide. The sea water gushes in and a water column rises through this gorge above the rocks upto 20-30ft! The temple of Uma Maheshwari is on the same rocky stretch on the way to Brahman Ghal.
A small cove with a pristine stretch of soft white sand beach laced with lush green coconut trees, Velneshwar is just emerging into the tourist scene as a beach destination in Maharashtra. Velneshwar is located about 5 kms from Hedvi beach and 2 kms from the hotel.
Hedvi Beach is a black sand cove between the white sand beaches of Guhagar, Velneshwar and Ganpatipule. Hedvi beach is a small stretch with the northern end towards the Uma Maheshwari temple dominated by a rocky stretch. The 'bahman ghal' is located on this rocky stretch
Guhagar the taluka HQ also has a quiet long streych of beach which extends on for almost 4 kms. Guhagar beach is one of the cleanest and less polluted beaches in Maharashtra. Off late chat stalls and small food stalls have come up near the beach alongside the 'suru' trees.
Ganpatipule is a small village on the Konkan coast with a series of beaches and vantage points offering some stunning views of the sea. Aare - Waare is known for the coastal highway offering fabulous 270 degree sea views. Malgund is famous for the watersports activities.
Swayambhu Ganpati temple in Ganpatipule is amongst the most visited temples in Konkan part of Maharashtra.
Built atop a small hillock the idol of the diety here is depicted to have 10 hands hence the name Dasha bhuja Ganpati
Dedicated to Shiva this temple also has shrines dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Ganesha and Kala Bhairave.
Beaches near Navlai Paryatak Nivas Hedvi is located in the Guhagar taluka of Ratnagiri district which enjoys a long stretch of beach. Hedvi is a black sand beach while Velneshwar and Guhagar are two white sand beaches. Velneshwar and Hedvi beaches are about a kilometer from Navlai Paryatak Nivas and Guhagar is about 15 kilometers away from the hotel.
Vyadeshwar temple located at the mouth of the pathway to the Guhagar beach is the most prominent temple amongst the scores of temples in Guhagar. A Shiva temple built in Panchayatana style Vyadeshwar temple has shrines of Sun, Ganesh, Parvati and Vishnu around it and a statue of Nandi in front of the main shrine.
